we step into the research streams

We have defined a research field: Activity-Travel Psychology. A research field embodies some research streams.

A research stream is a series of related scientific subjects on one topic, each progressing to dig deeper. Ultimately these streams may lead to articles or technical reports.

WPITS:A study on women’s psychology in transportation systems

In addition to inherent psycho-physical gender differences,
women in Iran can face particular constraints forcing them not to be
involved in all activity-travel patterns that people in developed
countries usually undertake (Arman et al. 2018). We try to pay special attention to the psychological concerns of women, socio-psychological aspects, and stereotypes affecting women’s activity-travel patterns.

Research Stream II – SHAMO

SHAMO: Understanding behavioral aspects of travelers in shared mobility

Shared mobility is defined as transportation services and resources that are shared among users, either concurrently or one after another. This includes public transit; micro-mobility (bike-sharing, scooter sharing); automobile-based modes (carsharing, rides on-demand, and micro-transit); and commute-based modes or ridesharing (carpooling and vanpooling).

Research Stream III – VRTRA

VRTRR: Virtual reality: A new track in travel behavior research

Virtual reality (VR) is the term used to describe a three-dimensional, computer-generated environment that can be explored and interacted with by a person. VR can be used for transportation planning, travel behavior research, training purposes, as well as driving simulators experiments.
